About Heirlooms Ever After Intro to the course

Task 1a.
Heirlooms ever after Ltd began in April 2012 by sisters Vanessa Rosevear and Rachael Hand.

The company started with just the online shop and Notonthehighstreet.com, but as the business grew, they have had stands at the National Wedding Show at the NEC, British Bridal Exhibition at Harrogate, London Bridal Show, White gallery London, Chatsworth Wedding Show and Osmaston Wedding Show.  It was at the exclusive, Designer White Gallery London exhibition that a collaboration was formed between Designer, Dajana Basic London and Heirlooms designed and created the 'Delicate Headpiece Collection' exclusively for Dajana's latest bridal gown collection.

After successful shows Heirlooms opened their shop in September 2015 in Bakewell as the business was growing fast. Both tourists and locals love coming into the family run shop, to buy handbags to necklaces, hats to head dresses.

Heirlooms ever after at the white gallery Vanessa designs and makes bridal headpieces, using fresh water pearls, wax flowers, swarovski crystals and other fine materials. Each piece is unique and brides can have a bespoke headpiece made for their special day. A best seller is the wax headdresses which are made up of handmade wax flowers, inspired by queen victoria's wedding headdress, which was made out of orange blossom and then preserved in wax.

Rachael maintains the website, social media, orders and sales and much more behind the scenes work that makes the business function.  Rachael made the Heirlooms website from scratch without taking any professional courses, and just self taught herself over the years and continues to access online training and E-Commerce Derbyshire training courses that are organised through Derbyshire County Council.

Task 1b.
With Heirlooms I could go down many career paths, for example I could go down the route of designing jewellery pieces and headdresses or I could go down the route of social media and maintaining the businesses websites and social media sites, which is what appeals to me the most at the moment.
Later on, I could then become a free lance social media manager, web designer etc.
